Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and INMARK NET COMPUTER SYSTEMS LTD, a company registered in Kenya that operates Girlies Glow (“we”, “us”). They apply whenever you use Girlies Glow, whether you're looking for a beauty professional or you're a professional who applies or is featured. Please read them together with our Privacy Policy.
About Girlies Glow
Girlies Glow is a directory that helps people in Nairobi discover beauty looks and find hair, nail and makeup professionals, see their work and indicative prices, and contact them directly on WhatsApp. Girlies Glow is free for customers, and being featured is currently free for professionals; if that changes, we'll tell featured professionals at least 30 days before any charge applies, and nobody will pay anything they haven't agreed to. We don't take bookings or payments, and we're in an early pilot: features may change, and there may be occasional interruptions or errors while we improve the service.
Finding and contacting a professional
You don't need an account to use Girlies Glow. When you tap to message a professional, WhatsApp opens so you can contact them directly. Prices on Girlies Glow are indicative: availability, the final price, payment, cancellations and the service itself are agreed between you and the professional, and Girlies Glow isn't a party to that agreement. Professionals are independent. We review applications and approve the photos we show, but we don't guarantee any professional's availability, prices, qualifications or work, and we don't verify identities beyond what's described in these Terms. Choose carefully, agree the details before your appointment, and take the same care you would when booking any service. For appointments at a home studio or at your home, tell someone you trust where you'll be, check that the professional's name and number match their profile, and don't send money before the appointment unless you're comfortable doing so.
Professionals on Girlies Glow
To apply you must be 18 or older, offer your services in Kenya, and give accurate information, including a WhatsApp number that's yours; we confirm it with a one-time code. Sending an application doesn't mean you'll be featured: we review every application and decide at our discretion who to feature. Photos you send with your application must be your own work, and everyone in them must have agreed to share them. When we approve your application, your profile is published with the details you agreed to, including the photos of your work we approve. From your dashboard (sign in with a code sent to your WhatsApp number, or to an email you've confirmed) you can update your details, services and prices, add photos (we check them before they appear), hide your profile or delete your account. You're responsible for keeping what you publish accurate, and for not including a street address or anyone else's personal details. Keep your phone and sign-in email secure and never share a sign-in code: anyone with a code can act on your profile, and we're not responsible for changes made with a code you shared. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has used your dashboard. Keep your details accurate and tell us promptly about changes to your services, prices, area or number. We may edit your profile for accuracy, clarity or format, and we may decline, suspend or remove a profile, for example if information is inaccurate, a number stops working, a complaint is upheld, or these Terms are broken.
Your photos and content
You keep ownership of the photos and descriptions you give us. You give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, resize, display and share that content on Girlies Glow for as long as your profile is featured, so we can run the directory. Only give us photos of your own work that you have the right to share, and make sure anyone who can be identified in a photo has agreed to it being published. Photos must not include nudity or sexual content, children unless a parent or guardian has agreed, anyone else's work or watermarks, contact details, or anything offensive or misleading. We may decline or remove any photo.
How to behave
When using Girlies Glow, you must not: • give false information, or pretend to be someone else or to offer work that isn't yours • offer or request anything illegal, unsafe or that breaks these Terms • harass, threaten or spam professionals or customers, including through the WhatsApp links • copy, scrape or collect information from Girlies Glow by automated means, or use it to build another directory • try to get around our security, rate limits or moderation, or interfere with how Girlies Glow works
Reports
If a profile is inaccurate, a professional's details are being misused, or you have a complaint, email privacy@girliesglow.co.ke. We review every report and may correct, suspend or remove a profile. If a photo shows you, or shows work that's yours, and you didn't agree to it being published, email privacy@girliesglow.co.ke with a link to the profile and the photo. We take the photo down within 2 working days of confirming the request, and tell the professional.
Other services
WhatsApp, Instagram, TikTok and other services linked from Girlies Glow are run by third parties under their own terms and privacy policies. We're not responsible for them or for what happens in conversations you have through them.
Disclaimers
We work hard to keep Girlies Glow useful and accurate, but to the extent permitted by law, Girlies Glow is provided “as is” and “as available”. We don't promise that it will always be available or error-free, that information on profiles is complete or up to date, or that any professional or customer will behave in any particular way.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, INMARK NET COMPUTER SYSTEMS LTD is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for any loss arising from services that professionals provide, from agreements between customers and professionals, or from third-party services. Our total liability to you for any claim relating to Girlies Glow is limited to the amount you've paid us, if any, in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that can't be limited by law.
Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to compensate INMARK NET COMPUTER SYSTEMS LTD for any claims, losses or costs arising from your breach of these Terms or your misuse of Girlies Glow, including content you give us.
Changes
We may update Girlies Glow and these Terms from time to time. We'll show the date of the latest version at the top of this page. If a change materially affects featured professionals, we'll tell them by WhatsApp or by their sign-in email at least 14 days before it takes effect. If you keep using Girlies Glow after a change takes effect, you accept the updated Terms.
Law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Kenya. If you have a concern, please email privacy@girliesglow.co.ke first so we can try to resolve it. Any dispute that can't be resolved informally will be handled by the courts of Kenya.
General
These Terms and our Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about Girlies Glow. If any part of these Terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies. If we don't enforce a right straight away, we don't give it up. We may transfer our rights and obligations under these Terms to a company that takes over Girlies Glow; you may not transfer yours.
